Super unique atmosphere, great drinks and well priced yummy snacks. Will definitely be back here again! This place is super hyped but it's definitely a bar that stands alone for that Korean street vibe. Come early to avoid the long wait!

Staple orders are teokbokki with ramen and cheese corn, galbi and pork belly skewers are good too! Come early so you don't have to wait for 1hr-2 hrs max. They are very packed. Prices are okay but it adds up. Their restrooms need cleaning and it's only 2 so there would be a line sometimes when you need it. Valet will cost you 5$ for them to park your car limited parking outside, Uber would be a better option if you're close by and plan to drink.

Dan Sung Sa has the best Bossam! I loved all the toppings that came with it. Extremely flavorful and added a lot of the depth to the perfectly cooked pork belly. The steamed pork belly was soft and had the perfect ratio of fat to meat. They also have a lot of different korean bar foods such as skewers, hand rolls, teokbokki, and stews to choose from. The entree portion sizes are pretty big and you're able to share with everyone at the table. Their waits are usually extremely long, especially on the weekends! You can only manually put your name down and they do not take phone numbers. I suggest coming at least an hour early for a big party to get a spot. Great ambiance with very cool decorations!

This place is an LA staple. I immediately noticed it in the Netflix series Brothers Sun when I saw the famous tagged walls. When you first step into the restaurant it feels like you teleported to a street food/night life in Korea. Sitting in front of the yakatori grill is such a fun experience. Service is great. They can be really friendly and they love to crack jokes with you. It can get really busy or they can be easily distracted sometimes, so at times it's hard to get their attention. The food is amazing. My favorite dish they offer is actually the corn cheese. And hear me out, I know usually corn cheese taste the same almost everywhere because it's a simply recipe. I don't know what they put in their corn cheese but I promise you it doesn't taste like anywhere else. Also yakatori prices are amazing, paying between $2-4 a skewer. At almost yakatori spots you're paying between $5-7. Their other family style dishes are also really great and mostly really huge portions for a good price. The wait time can get super crazy. One occasion I went an hour after it opened and it was already a 2 hour wait, and another time I went super late, like 11pm-12am-ish, and it was still a 45 min wait. So plan accordingly or hope you're lucky. Helpful tip: Chi Chi is across the street if you need some time to kill ;)

If you loved Brothers Sun and korean food then you'll love Dan Sung Sa. This is meant to mimic a pocha so to speak without actually being outdoors. Enjoy street foods and alcohol in a dimly lit interior with nothing but smoke from skewers, yelling from drunken patrons, and yummy food and drink in your belly to get through the night. The wait can get crazy so either come early or be prepared to wait. In terms of food, it's pretty good but certainly not mindblowing. The seafood pancake is probably one of the better things to try here. Stir fry anything is a safe bet here and we enjoyed the pork belly. Lastly, corn cheese is a guilty pleasure for everyone so dig in. Soju and beer are pricier but considering that this is a social outlet that's probably to be expected. So there you go: come here for socializing, eating, and maybe making a sketchy deal to host a historical meeting between two infamous triads and hope you don't get backstabbed in the process.
